Log script

A list of what you want to cover each time you log, like sleep, meals and how you feel. With it on, the mic shows your script while you talk, so nothing gets forgotten.

Create your script

  1. Go to Settings › Logging.
  2. Turn on Log script. The first time, the Log script screen opens so you can write it.
  3. Type what you want to cover, one thing per line. Use the toolbar for bullet points and formatting (below).
  4. Tap ‹ Settings when you’re done. There’s no Save button: it saves as you go.

To change it later, tap Edit script, just under the switch. It shows the first line of your script.

An example

Keep it short enough to glance at while you talk. Something like:

  • Sleep: how long, and how it felt
  • Mood and energy
  • What I ate and drank
    • coffee, water, alcohol
  • Anything that hurt, and how bad (1–10)
  • Meds and supplements

Write it in whatever words help you remember. The script is only a reminder for you: the app logs what you say, not what’s in the script.

The toolbar

Bullets
Turns the line (or the lines you’ve selected) into bullet points, or back.
Indent and Unindent
Moves a bullet in or out. Bullets go up to two levels in: • then ◦ then ▪.
Bold, Italic, Underline
Select some words and tap one. With nothing selected, what you type next gets it.
  • Press Enter on a bullet line to start the next bullet at the same level.
  • Press Enter on an empty bullet, or backspace right after a bullet, to move it out a level, or end the list at the first level.
  • A script can be up to 5,000 characters.

Use it while you log

  1. On the Log tab, tap the mic.
  2. Your script shows under Your script. Scroll it if it’s long.
  3. Talk through it. A line or two at the bottom shows the words being heard.
  4. Tap Done. It logs the same as always, with the Logged sheet and Undo.
  • Cancel and Type work as usual. Type switches to typing and keeps what you’ve said.
  • While your script is up, the “Picking up” chips are left out to make room. You still see everything that was logged after Done.
  • The script shows only for the Log tab’s mic. Typing and Chat don’t change.

Turn it off

Turn off Log script in Settings › Logging and the mic goes back to showing your words as they come in. What you wrote is kept, so it’s there if you turn it back on.

Your script is saved with your account, so it follows you to a new phone. Delete all data erases it and turns it off.
