Your data
Export data makes a file of your entries:
- CSV: one row per entry (date, category, measure, value, unit). Opens in Excel, Numbers or Sheets.
- JSON: your entries plus your measures and categories, nested, and your chats. Good as a backup.
Choose All time, Last 30 days or Custom dates, check the preview, and tap Export CSV or Export JSON. The file opens in your phone’s share sheet: save it, email it, or share it.
Logging
- Show what was logged
- A quick summary after each update, with undo. Turn it off and you get just the “entries logged” bar with Undo, unless something needs your answer, like a new measure.
- Ask before adding new measures
- When you mention something you don’t track yet, it checks your measures first, then offers one tap to track it. Turn it off and new measures are made straight away.
- Keep what I said
- Saves your words with each entry, so you can see where it came from. Turn it off and your words are dropped as soon as they’ve been turned into entries.
- Log script
- Your own list of talking points, shown while you talk. See Log script.
- Day starts at
- 4:00 AM unless you change it (anything from midnight to 6:00 AM). Late-night entries count toward the day before. A change applies to new entries only.
- Week starts on
- The first day of the week for calendars, and for “this week” when you log.
Reminders
- Evening check-in
- One notification a day at the time you choose, a short nudge to log. Tapping it opens today on the Log tab. Turn on Remind me each evening and pick a time.
- Morning reminder
- Only on mornings after a day with nothing logged. Tapping it opens yesterday, so you can add it while you remember. Steps, weather and other data that comes in by itself don’t count as logging.
- Weekly email summary
- Coming soon. Turn it on to get it when it’s ready.
If reminders don’t arrive, check that notifications are allowed for the app in your phone’s settings.
Connections
Local weather
- Tap Local weather and choose your town.
- Turn on Bring in local weather. The last 3 months come in, and new days keep coming in.
Weather is only used as the other side of a pattern (“Headache runs higher the day after a day with pressure under 29.8 inHg”). Show on the Log tab adds a line with the day’s weather above your entries. You can also choose units.
Health Connect (Android) or Apple Health (iPhone)
Steps, sleep, workouts and more from Fitbit, Samsung Health, MyFitnessPal, your iPhone or Apple Watch and many other apps, so patterns can use them too.
- First, let your apps share. On Android, open your health or fitness app’s settings, find Health Connect and turn sharing on. On iPhone, your iPhone and Apple Watch already share; for another app, turn on Apple Health in its settings.
- In Dayweave, tap Health Connect or Apple Health, then Connect, and choose what’s shared.
The first sync brings in about the last 30 days from Health Connect, or the last 3 months from Apple Health. After that, new numbers come in each day. Synced data never replaces something you logged yourself. Stop syncing turns it off.
Patterns
- Weekends vs. weekdays
- Compares each measure on Saturdays and Sundays with the rest of the week.
- Days of the week
- Looks for a day that stands out, like Mondays.
- Hidden insights
- Insights you’ve hidden from Discover. Search them, and tap Show again to bring one back.
More in Discover and patterns.
Appearance and profile
- Theme: Light or Dark. The app restarts for a moment to switch. This is kept on the phone.
- First name and an optional Last name.
- Help: How to use Dayweave opens the short tour, and Send feedback sends us what’s working, what isn’t, and ideas.
Chats and account
- Delete all chats
- Erases every chat, your questions and the answers. Your entries, measures and patterns stay. It asks first.
- Two-step sign-in
- Adds a 6-digit code from an authenticator app when you sign in. Tap Set up two-step sign-in, add the app to your authenticator app (it opens it for you, or shows a key to type in), and enter the code it shows. Then tap New recovery codes and keep them somewhere safe: each one works once, if you lose your authenticator app.
- Sign out
- Your entries stay safe in your account.
Forgot your password? On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and we’ll email you a link to set a new one.
Delete all data
The red button at the very bottom erases your entries, measures, categories, updates, patterns and chats. It asks first, and it can’t be undone. Mood comes back and setup starts again. Export first if you want a copy. To delete your account too, see Delete your account and data.
